Dana was born to Willie and Charlotte Edmonds on October 3, 1963.
The visitation services will be Friday February 20, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be at the Easton United Methodist Church on Saturday February 21, 2015 at 11 a.m. There will be no gravesite service.
Dana led a full life beating the odds. She attended several special schools and attended Leavenworth High School. Dana moved to Lawrence when she turned 21 joining the Cottonwood organization. Dana enjoyed her family, spending time with her friends, working, playing games, working in soup kitchens and shopping with her mom. Dana accepted and was proud that she was "unique". Dana was a member of the Easton United Methodist Church.
Dana leaves behind her three sisters, Deb Barnes, Junction City, Kansas, Arlene Hansroth(Bret), Atchison, Kansas, and Tina Farr, Lansing, Kansas. It will be difficult for Mike, Erin, and Korben Ford, Tyler Barnes, Luke, Jessica, and Wade Hansroth, Derrick, Nikki, and Cobi Hansroth, Jamie and Erin Farr, Jeremy, Sheena, and Alessandra Farr to celebrate holidays without Aunt Dana.
Her parents Willie and Charlotte Edmonds precede her in death. Her grandparents Melvin and Addie Dwinell Williams and Matthew and Lillian Pearl Stuckey Edmonds meet her at the gates of heaven!
The family suggests memorials to the Easton United Methodist Church or just enjoying your family and loved ones.
The sisters have lost their own special "Rainman". We love you and will miss you! Thank you for all we learned from you!
Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Chapel."
