She was a member of a large, respected NE Adair County family. She was the daughter of the late David & Pert Burton Irving and the widow of Everett E. Burton. She leaves 11 direct and one step living descendants. She was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church and a homemaker.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11amCT, at Bearwallow Cemetery by Bearwallow United Methodist Church, 6132 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.with Bro. Clifton Bennett officiating. Burial will follow the service. Visitation after 5pmCT, Monday, February 23, 2015. at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY.
Casket Bearers: Scott Cowan, Sam Avery, Chad Snider, Timothy Blackistone, Dale Cowan and Billy Cowan.

She was born January 24, 1928, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late David & Pert Burton Irvin. She died Sunday, February 15, 2015, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 87 years, 22 days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Burton on November 24, 1980'; five brothers, Earnest, William, Ed, Matthew and Marshall Irvin; one sister, Ida Cowan; and one grandchild, Michael Cowan.
She was a member of Bearwallow United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Survivors Include:
One daughter: Judy (Ronnie) Cowan of Columbia, KY
One son: Gerald Burton of Columbia, KY
One sister: Rosie B. Burton of Kokomo, IN
Four grandchildren: Scott (Angie) Cowan, Julie (Sam) Avery, Jennie (Chad) Snider & Felisha Burton all of Columbia, KY
Six great-grandchildren
