Hack was born on Nov. 19, 1929 in Sumner County, Tennessee, the son of Ernie and Laura (Graves) Absher. He married Virginia Madison on June 16, 1961 in Covington, Indiana. They were married for 53 wonderful years.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Julie (George) Carl; a son, Norman Absher; one brother, Eugene Absher; two grandchildren and two loving great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Hack worked at Joan of Arc/Pillsbury in Hoopeston for 41 years until he retired in 1991.
He served in the United States Army for two years at Fort Monroe, Virginia. He was a member of the American Legion in Hoopeston for many years.
