He was a cotton farmer. Widow Mary Campen rec'd $258.97 from Benjamin Campen in full settlement of what was due her from Thomas Campen's estate on Sept. 25, 1908.

She was a retired postmistress & resided in Alliance, Pamlico Co., NC. She'd also lived in Bayboro, Pamlico Co., NC. She never married.
