She was rescued from collapsible boat "D" by the Carpathia and arrived in New York City on April 18th. She was 33 years old at the time of the disaster and six months pregnant. Her husband and two brothers did not survive the sinking of the Titanic. She is buried in Ahvenkosken Hautausmaa, Finland
