Born in Greenville on September 18, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John Kern Earle and Louise Farrell Earle. Margaret grew up in Greenville where she attended West Gantt High School and Newberry College. While attending Newberry she met her husband of 65 years Clyde Earl Ellison. Her brother, John Kern Earle II (Evelyn), and sister, Mary Earle Drawdy (Vance) predeceased her. She was survived by many nieces and nephews who were very special to her and she loved dearly.
Margaret was a homemaker and a gracious Southern lady with strong principles, devoted to her family and to her Lord. She had been an active member at Augusta Road Baptist Church for many years prior to her illness. Her primary devotion was to her family. She was an avid genealogist and historian, enjoyed creative writing, entertaining, gardening and arranging flowers. She was a past president of the Cleveland Forest Garden Club.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 23, 2015 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, SC 29642. Private burial will follow in Robinson Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
