Free woman of color, common-law wife of Barthelemy Lafon (1769-1820, memorial number 145166431); mother of 2 children, Pierre
Barthelemy and Carmelite, who were acknowledged in Lafon's will.

Thomy Lafon was Modeste Foucher's son; but his father was Pierre Larande.

The Father of Thomy Lafon (1810 - 1893) was Pierre "Pedro" J. B. Laralde (Born ABT 1790, France) with whom Modeste had another son, Pedro Jose Bartholome Laralde Jr.(BIRTH MARCH 19, 1806 • New Orleans, Orleans, Louisiana, United States / DEATH APRIL 1, 1884 • Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA). Thomy chose to use the name of his Mother's first Husband due to the status it carried with it - though he achieved a
reasonable amount of "status" on his own accord.
