After his marriage in June 1844, He continued to live in the county of his birth until 1863, when he moved to Rowan county, Kentucky, where he lived until 1887. Eleven years ago he moved with his family to Kansas and purchased the property in Holton, where he died. Nine children are left to mourn the loss of a father. Three of them still live in Kentucky, and six are located in Kansas.
