HUDSON - George A. Beyer Jr., age 82, of Hudson died Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Allegiance Health.
He was born Nov. 26, 1932, in Detroit to George A. Sr. and Anna (Walewski) Beyer.
On June 25, 1960, in Romulus, he married Florence Mary Titiriga. She preceded him in death on Jan. 11, 1976.
George retired from Willow Run Assembly as an accountant on Dec. 1, 1987. He also was engaged in farming for many years. George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. George was a member of Kiwanis and the Addison American Legion.
George is survived by three sons, Michael Beyer of Addison, Joseph Beyer of Niantic, Conn., and Peter (Karen) Beyer of Hudson; one brother, James (Donna) Beyer of Westland; four grandchildren, Kyle and Tara Beyer of Hudson, Amy (Michael) Rosas of Ida and Matthew Beyer of Addison; one great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Rosas.
In addition to his wife, Florence, he was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Richard and Clarence Beyer.
Funeral services for George will be at noon Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian, with Fr. Jim Hug, SJ, officiating. Burial will be in Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor.
