Robbie L. Camps
Robbie L. Camps of Gainesville died Friday at Alachua General Hospital after a sudden illness. She was 81.

Mrs. Camps was born in Newberry and moved to Gainesville 48 years ago. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Camps was educated in Alachua County public schools and was a member of the Heroines of Jericho, Prince Hall Chapter Lodge No. 1, Female Protection Lodge No. 4. She also was a member of the Church of God by Faith, where she served on the Deaconess Board and in the Mass Choir and the Senior Choir.

Survivors include her husband, Essie Camps of Gainesville; three daughters, Jessie McKnight, Janie Sanford and Pearlie Sanders, all of Gainesville; three sons, Elder Joseph Camps and Bishop Walter Camps, both of Gainesville and John C. Camps of Orlando; a brother Wilbert Wilson of Winter Park; two sisters, Ethel Williams of Winter Park and Aris Darling of Newberry; 42 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Notice-
CAMPS, MRS. ROBBIE L.- Funeral services for Mrs. Camps, age 81, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday August 27, 1988 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas A. Wright, & Elder George Matthews conducting the services.
Burial will be in the Newnans Lake Patrick Memorial Gardens under the care of the CHESTNUT FUNERAL HOME, 18 N.W. 8th Avenue, Gainesville.
Mrs. Camps who lived at ... died Saturday, August 20, 1988 in Alachua General Hospital following a sudden illness. Mrs. Camps will repose in the Chestnut Memorial Chapel on Friday, beginning at 12 noon and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Church of God by Faith 735 S.E. 15th Street, Gainesville at 10:15 to form the cortege.
