She was a member of Hebron Lutheran Church; a member of the Helper Circle at the church; a 50 year member of the O.E.S. #559 of Florence; a member of the Women's National Business Association; Past President of the Women's Republican Club; Alternate Delegate for the Presidential Election of Ronald Reagan; and a volunteer for St. Luke West Hospital of Florence.
She is survived by sons, Harold F. Hempfling, Mark Charles Hempfling, and Gregory Lewis Hempfling, all of Hebron; daughter, Charlene A. Hempfling of Hebron; brother, George McCain of Ft. Wright; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Her husband, Charles Franklin Hempfling, died approximately 16 hours after her passing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Andrew and Edna Blackburn McCain.
