She was the wife of Benjamin Poliquin and the mother of 15 children. Of those children, 9 died in childhood while the family still lived in Lévis, Quebec and are buried in the parish cemetery of Notre-Dame-de-la-Victoire.
Arthur, Philip, James, Elmina, Emma & Lida survived. All came to RI with their parents 12 Apr 1885.
