Arlene B. Adams, 80 of Grand Forks, ND passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 in Sanford Hillsboro Medical Center in Hillsboro, ND.
Arlene Benedicta Benson was born December 30, 1934 in Petersburg, ND the daughter of Bernard and Beatrice (Collins) Benson. She moved with her family to East Grand Forks, MN and graduated from East Grand Forks High School in 1955.
Following graduation, she was employed with Sweet Clover Dairy and Star Laundry in Grand Forks.
Arlene met and married the love of her life, Edward A. Adams on May 29, 1956 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks.
Arlene loved spending time with her family and enjoyed making afghans for them.
Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Edward; daughters, Sheila (Chad) Wildeman, Hillsboro, ND, Penne (Dan) Feickert, Manvel, ND; sons, Edward, Jr. (Elke) Adams, Napa, ID, Jeffrey (Lori) Adams, Fertile, MN; a sister, Shirley (Bob) Jensen, Fosston, MN; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Denise Adams.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with a 4:30 p.m. rosary service and 7:00 p.m. vigil service in the Historic Norman Funeral Home-Gregory J. Norman Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the liturgy in the church on Thursday.
Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND, in the spring.
