BESSIE D. SKAGGS, 96, died Monday at Ramona Manor Convalescent Hospital in Hemet. A native of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Skaggs lived in Hemet for a year. She was a bookkeeper for Dr. Homer Rosenberger in Whittier for 20 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Rosa Petras of Hemet, Carol Ann Walton of Mendocino and Frances Henrich of Lynwood; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier. McWane Family Funeral Home in Hemet is handling arrangements.
