Lillie was born in Cotton Plant, Ark. To Spencer and Florence Barnett. Lillie was the third child of ten. Lillie attended Marion High School and went on to college in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a member of Greater Shepherd Missionary Baptist Church in L.A., Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Bennie Rushing, Los Angeles; parents, Spencer and Florence Barnett, Marion; four sons, Horace Hill, Jr. and Spencer (Dale) Hill, Freddie Rushing and Bennie (Mickey) Rushing, all of Los Angeles; five sisters and four brothers, Betty Fuller, Houston, Texas; Lerline (Allen) Switzer, Milwaukee; Aaron Barnett, Dorothy Malone, Robert (Jessica) Barnett, and Ellen (Greg) Stanley, all of Marion; Sharon (Timmy) Clariett, Fort Wayne; Sammie (Linda) Barnett, and James Barnett, Seattle, Wash.; forty five grandchildren.
