DEATH AT AGE OF SEVENTY-FIVE YEARS IN MERCY HOSPITAL FOLLOWS TWO-YEARS’ ILLNESS
A former Scranton dentist, Dr. Leidy R. Reel, seventy-five, Elmhurst, succumbed yesterday in the Mercy Hospital after an illness of two years. Dr. Reel had practiced in Scranton for many years prior to moving to Elmhurst ten years ago, and before coming to Scranton had engaged in practice in China.
Surviving are his wife, Harriet; a son, Capt. L. R. Reel Jr., serving in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. J. K. Hollwedel, Harlingen, Tex. and Mrs. Douglas Northcutt, a Women’s Army Corps corporal stationed in France; one grandchild; a brother, Donald, Scranton, and a sister, Mrs. Samuel Stark, Uniondale.
The funeral will be held from the Franklin Funeral Home, Moscow, at a time to be announced. Internment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
