Shreveport, LA - Marie Moore Eubank, dearly loved and called our Mimi, and Aunt Marie, passed from our arms into God's everlasting arms early Friday morning, Feb. 20, 2015. She was born Sept. 6, 1913. Her sweet face, and lively personality will be missed greatly, but her memory will continue to bring smiles to those who knew her. Mimi was a devoted wife to her husband, Bill Eubank (Maj. Gen. USAF, ret.) They were married for 73 years, and she was first to give tribute to "her Bill", and was so proud of the man he was. She was the "wind beneath his wings" in every way.
She was counted among those strong military wives who stood by their man through wars, and long absences. She served in many Air Force services as a "Grey Lady" in the hospitals, and helping military wives whose husbands were deployed, and those who were widowed.
Mimi loved life, and was thankful for her many days God gave her thanking anyone who did the smallest act of kindness for her until she could no longer speak. She is survived by her son, Bill Eubank (Col. USAF, ret.) and his wife, Suzan, and her grandchildren, Drew Eubank, and Wendy Holden; her daughter, Sandi DeRamus and husband, Pat, and her grandchildren, Ryan and Erin DeRamus, Shannon and Michael Crouch; and her precious great grandchildren, Otis, Ophelia, and Obadiah DeRamus, and Andrew, Patrick, and Elliot Crouch; and her very dear nieces and nephews.
Prov. 31:28 "Her children rise up and call her blessed: her husband also, and he praises her."
To those who lovingly helped with Mimi's care the past 6 years, Charlesetta Pugh, Carol King, and Rosalyn Mitchell and her faithful doctor and treasured friends, Dr. Seborn Woods, and his wife, Loralee, we give our heartfelt thanks.
A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 28th, in the Chapel of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Dr. Tom Harrison will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
