John was the last surviving child of the late Theresa (Windish) and Frank Horvath.
He was the loving husband of Irene E. (Stofanak) Horvath.
They were married 60 years.
He owned and operated Bethlehem's oldest hardware store, Laufer's Hardware, for over 30 years.

Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church. Bethlehem Boys Club and of their Alumni, he also served on their Board of Directors. Bethlehem Boating Club. He was also active in many other community organizations throughout his lifetime.
