Ernest W. Abbott, Sr. went to be with his love of his life, Myrtice M. Abbott. at 12:10am on January 2, 2015. He was born on November 3, 1923 in Chilton County to Walter and Louise Abbott.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters and many other loved ones. He is survived by his children, Chris Abbott and wife, Lillie of Daytona Beach Shores, FL; Madelynn (Lynn) Abbott Brooks of Ft. Walton Beach; Donnie Abbott of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer Brooks of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Sean Abbott of Pensacola, FL; Rene Youell of Defuniak, FL, Sean Chamberlain of Altha, FL and Tracy Chamberlain of Ponce De Leon, FL; great-grandchildren, Jacob G. Abbott and Bennett C. Abbott of Pensacola, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm with a service starting at 2:30pm at Emerald Coast Funeral Home. A burial is to follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
