Mr. McCormick died in Chicago Monday after a lingering illness. He spent last summer in Hawarden and returned last December to Chicago where he was employed for a number of years.
A son of Mrs. John McCormick of Hawarden, he was born in Union county, near Hawarden, July 3, 1903. He grew up in Hawarden.
Survivors are a daughter, Cardella McCormick of Beresford; his mother, Mrs. McCormick of Hawarden; three brothers, Jay and Joe of Los Angeles and John of Chicago, and five sisters, Mrs. Mae Dittmer and Mrs. Goldia McClain of Hawarden, Mrs. Denna Walker of Northville, N.Y., Mrs. Sylvia De Raad of Hollandale, Minn., and Mrs. Myrtle Akins of Dudley, Mo.
