Wesley E. Allen, 89, passed away suddenly at home on February 22, 2015. Born on November 21, 1925, he was the son of the late Blair W. and Lillian I. Allen. He was a veteran of World War II who enjoyed relating stories about his service in Italy. He also enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and spending time with family in Vermont. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Allen. Wesley is survived by his loving wife, Darrell Allen; devoted daughters, Barbara (David) Andrews, Andrea (Michael) Drumm and brother, Blair (Dorothea) Allen. He is also survived by six adoring grandchildren, Rebecca, Cheryl, Rachel, Samuel, Eric and Jesse; one great-grandchild and namesake, Lochlain Wesley; step-children, Tonya (Bruce) McIntyre and Geround (Tracey) Readdean; several nieces, nephews, and his dear friend Clarence. A wake will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015, with funeral service immediately following, at Magin & Keegan Funeral Home, 891 Madison Ave., Albany. The Rev. Jonathan E. Gray will officiate. Burial to be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or a veterans charity of your choice .
