Martha Jean Spencer Davison was born in Paragould, Arkansas, on November 17, 1936. She entered heaven on February 26, 2015.
She is survived by one brother, Larry Don Meadows of Paragould; four daughters, Ronda Landrum (Delaine) of Paragould, Cindy Smith of Manila, Sandra Newberry (Robert) of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Kim Campbell (Randy) of Jonesboro. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jon Landrum (Brooke), Jennifer Flannigan (Paul), Spencer Smith, Mallorie Layne (Chris), Madison Newberry, Garrett Campbell; and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Laverne and Claude Meadows; one daughter Deborah Darlene Spencer; first husband, Charles Spencer; and second husband, Edward Davison.
Martha worked for Dr. Sam Watson and Community Methodist Hospital in Paragould for many years. She retired as the Manager of Paragould Terrace Apartments. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved angels and now walks among them. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren more than anything. One of her great enjoyments in life was cooking for her family, watching her favorite TV shows and visiting with friends. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, Paragould.
The funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28th, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel. Ceremony will be officiated by Michael Cox and burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Delaine Landrum, Doug Smith, Robert Newberry, Randy Campbell, Jon Landrum, Garrett Campbell, Chris Layne, and Ron Montague.
