Mr. Hallet Jeptha Winslow, age 93, of 1535 N. Road Street, Elizabeth City, NC died Wednesday, February 19, 2003 at Albemarle Hospital. Mr. Winslow was born in Pasquotank County, the son of the late Jeptha and Maria Antoinette Tuttle Winslow and was the husband of Eleanor Ralph Winslow, which they would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary in April. He was a machinist for 31 years with the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA and was a Baptist. Besides his wife, Mr. Winslow is survived by one daughter, Margaret Pritchard of Elizabeth City, NC; one son, Harry E. Winslow and wife, Polly, of Chesapeake, VA; six grandchildren, Barbara Fitchett, Billy Pritchard and Chuck Pritchard of Elizabeth City, NC; Craig Winslow of Bethesda, MD; Beth Hibben of Tampa, FL; and Pam Collins of Camden, NC; and seven great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Glenn Greenway officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, February 21, 2003 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Twiford's Memorial Chapel and other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one's favorite charity. Twiford's Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is in charge of arrangements.
