Dorothy E. Quandt, 91, Gillett, passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 23, 2004, at Shawano Medical Center following a brief illness. Dorothy was born on Jan. 5, 1913, in the town of How to the late August and Alma (Miller) Schuettpelz. On Aug. 23, 1934, Dorothy married William Quandt at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hayes. Dorothy was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett and the ladies aid. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida in the winter.

Dorothy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Marvin and RoJean, Neenah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Robert McDowell, Gillett; Donna and Donald Schultz, Shawano; one sister, Clarice Tucker, Naperville, Ill.; one sister-in-law, Virginia Schuettpelz, Boca Raton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was also preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, from noon until 2 p.m. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Lisa A. Ubbelohde officiating. Interment in Wanderers Rest Cemetery, Gillett Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett 920-855-2144, is assisting Dorothy’s family with arrangements.

A memorial fund has been established for St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Gillett, building fund.

A special thank you to the staff at Woodlands of Gillett, Shawano Medical Center, and Gillett Area Ambulance Service, for their loving care during Dorothy’s illness.
