Officer, United States Army. He was the son of Lt. Maurice Krayenbuhl, US Military Academy, Class of 1890, who was killed in battle in the Philippines in 1899. Served in the US Army in both World Wars I and II. A native of Fort Riley, Kansas, he graduated from the US Military Academy in 1916 and served in France as a Battery Commander in the Field Artillery during World War I. He resigned from the service after the war, but in 1942 returned to the Army and served as commandant of the Officers' Candidate School at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He later served in the South Pacific during World War II. He again retired from the service in 1945 and worked for the Veterans Administration in Atlanta, where he helped establish that agency's insurance branch. He was preceded in death by his father, and mother Carol, who died in 1942. Survivors included a daughter, Mrs. H.
