JONES, WAYNE ELMO: Wayne E. Jones, 72, of Lebanon died Friday, May 5, 2006 at St. John's Hospital-Springfield. He was born Oct. 2, 1933, in Grovespring to John V and Audra (Snow) Jones, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Chester Jones. He was retired from maintenance at Wal-Mart. Survivors include two children, Wayne E. Jones Jr., and his wife, Stephanie, of Sarcoxie, and Belinda Jackson, and her husband, Greg Erickson, of Urbana; a stepdaughter, Billie Bloznek and her husband, Mark, of Springfield; his companion, Sue Lewis and her children, Jamie Lewis, and his wife, Barbara, of Laquey, Jackie Lewis, of the state of Arizona; Billie Bloznek and her husband, Mark, of Springfield, and Christina Burwell and her husband, Chad, of Waynesville; a sister, Melba Simmons and her husband, Clyde, of Lebanon; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives. Services for Wayne E. Jones were held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 8, 2006, at Thieme-Shadel Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel with Pastor Wade Perryman officiating. Military Honors will be preformed by VFW Post 4107. Burial was in the McBride Cemetery under the direction of Thieme-Shadel Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel, of Lebanon. Memorials may be made to Camp Barnabas.
