She lived in Bradenton, Florida for several years before returning to Michigan. Coiene was active in her church, 4-H for thirty years, and many farm organizations. She also served on the board of directors for over six years at the park where she resided in Florida.
She graduated from Caro High School with the Class of 1953.
Coiene is survived by her children, Henry (Debbie), Henrietta (Scott) Shaw, Robert, Sue (Jim) Csizmadia, James, and Stephen (Toni); nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Shawn Csizmadia in 2001.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home in Caro with Pastor David Cooper officiating. Burial services followed at the Ellington Township Cemetery.
