He was born on April 20, 1950, in Burlington, the son of Eugene and Arlene (Holcomb) Tetreault.
He graduated from Burlington High School in 1968.
Soon after, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War 1968-1972.
Bruce worked at the General Electric Co. in Burlington for almost 20 years as a tool inspector.
Later, he pursued his passion for the outdoors and teaching while working for Smugglers Notch Resort. Most recently, he was employed at The RehabGYM for seven years.
Bruce received his certificate in Mediation and Conflict Management from Woodbury College in 2000.
He loved spending time enjoying nature, particularly while canoeing, fishing, skiing, and walking his dogs.
