GEORGE WILBUR ROSE, JR. died at the Washington County Hospital yesterday after an illness of one week, aged 47 years. He resided at the home of an aunt, Mrs. Hattie B. Groves, 33 West Washington Street. Born and reared at Front Royal, Va., he was the son of George W. and Fannie Lovey (Carter) Rose. He had lived in Hagerstown for three years.
Surviving are brother, Marvin M. Rose, Boonsboro; half brothers, ira Rose, Front Royal' Ollie Rose, Front Royal' half sisters, Mrs. Reba Lockhart, Front Royal' Mrs. Addie Remus, Front Royal' and Mrs. Georgia Wiles, Huyetts.
Funeral services were held at the Coffman Funeral Home; interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
