Laurence J. Kuehn, 69, of Lincoln, Michigan, died Sun., April 15, 2012 at the Alpena Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Fox and Stacy Esson and their families. A memorial service was held Wed., April 18, 2012, 5:30 p.m. at the Old Stone Church, Harrisville. The Rev. Claire Duncan officiated. His ashes were interred in the Oak View Cemetery in Royal Oak. He was a 1965 graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. While a cadet at that school he was a member of Golf Company, Second Battalion. He was an Electrical Engineering major and an Army contract cadet. He attended The Citadel from Royal Oak, Michigan. While a cadet he held cadet rank of Sergeant his junior year. He participated in several activities including the Methodist Group, the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), the Citadel Society of Electrical Engineers, and intramural sports. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army on graduation day, May 29, 1965.
