Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Charlie A. "Jack" Hanna, Jr., Artesia, New Mexico.

He died Wednesday, May 10, 2006 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Jack was born November 14, 1913 in Elk, New Mexico; the son of Charlie Anderson Hanna, Sr. and Rosa Lee (Danley) Hanna. He came to Artesia in 1934 from Hope, N.M.

He married Bertie Walters on May 9, 1936 in Artesia. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 1996.

On March 8, 1997 he was married to Beulah Forrister in Artesia. She preceded him in death September 1, 2000.


Survivors include daughters Peggy Boarman of Williamsburg, Virginia and Louise Calaway and her husband J.W. of Duncan, Okla.; sons Homer Hanna and his wife Ellen of Clyde, Texas, Charlie Hanna and his wife Dolores of Abilene, Texas, and Doug Hanna and his wife Lola of Minot, North Dakota; 21 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
