Dwaine Wesley Anderson, a longtime Warden resident, passed away July 20, 2012. He was born on February 1, 1929 to Glen and Ruth Anderson in Toppenish, Washington. As a young man, he joined the Navy in 1946 where he served until his retirement in 1966.

On November 1, 1955 he married Gloria J. Anderson. They moved to Warden in 1969 where Dwaine farmed various crops until 1991. Later, he helped his brother, Richard, for many years at Columbia Seed.

Dwaine enjoyed spending time with Richard. They took regular trips to Richard's cabin and he had some enjoyable adventures with Richard, including a 6-week fishing trip to Alaska. He enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors, and taking long drives to explore different areas of Grant County. He was a proud man and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dwaine is survived by his three children: Mike (Tara) Anderson of Walla Walla, Camellia (Ray) Pittser of Warden, and Greg Anderson of Idaho. He also is survived by four grandchildren.

Dwaine was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Gloria; his brother, three sisters and his parents.

Graveside services with military honors were held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Warden on July 25, 2012. Arrangements with Kayser's Chapel, Moses Lake.
