The youngest child of Paul M., and Sophia Krizovenski Kolsun, and brother to:

Mary (died in infancy)
Veronica (Kubeck)
Hermina "Minnie" (Stanch)
Mary II (died in infancy)
George (died in infancy)
Helen Marie (Clark)
Pauline S. (JMorley/Kreger)
Paul M. (Kathryn Amtanite)
Julia (died age 3)
Theresa (Bowman)

Along with his siblings, and his 1st. cousin's, were the 1st generation American's in this Kolsun family, and felt a deep love and appreciation for their freedom to work, own property, and the ability to come and go as they pleased.

Andy and his older brother Paul M. Jr. moved to Camden NJ in the early 1930's where they began a Candy and Tobacco Wholesale business aptly named "Kolsun Brothers" and creating jobs for salesman, deliveryman, secretaries, stock boys and clerks, all while raising a new young family.

He was a devout Catholic and housed the Catholic priest's of St. Cecilia's Parish in his home in Delair, NJ, for over 20 yrs., before he raised money to build the parish a small home across the St. from the little church on Holman Ave. in Delair.

He married Helena Koltys in 1931 and they are the parents of 1 daughter Jacqueline and 1 son Andrew Jr.

He loved his work, grand-kids, growing his roses, Elvis Presley, crabbing at the shore in his boat, and KFC....and not necessarily in that order!

He loved gardening and pruning his roses, but hated mowing the lawn...go figure!!

Loved by all the neighborhood children for his stock of candy and was personally responsible for sending them home hyped up on sugar and no appetite for dinner!!
