Charles W. Angstadt Sr., 64, of Birdsboro R.D. 2, was dead on arrival Wednesday night in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
Born in Ruscombmanor Township, he was a son of the late Jacob and Agnes (Manwiller) Angstadt.
Before retiring Feb. 16, 1976, he was employed by the Keystone Gray Iron Foundry, Pottstown, as a foreman.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Amityville and served on its consistory.
Angstadt was also a member of the Monarch Fire Company, Monocacy.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth M. (Grainger) Angstadt; one son, Gerald R., Douglassville R.D. 1; two daughters, Gail, wife of Dean Focht, Reading, and Kathy R. Angstadt, Geigertown; seven grandchildren.
Also three sisters, Marguerite, wife of John Dry, Douglassville R.D. 2; Edna, wife of Russell Trace, and Kathryn, widow of Ralph Moyer, both of Monocacy Station.
And, three brothers, Herman Angstadt, Birdsboro R.D. 2; David Angstadt, Pottstown, and Leon Angstadt, Stowe.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. in the Shalkop Funeral Home, Birdsboro, The Rev. William E. Harner Jr. officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
