Patrick Hennessey Died Sunday

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at Sacred Heart Church at Kickapoo for Patrick H. Hennessey, 85, a lifetime resident of the Kickapoo community and a retired farmer, who died late Sunday [Jan 16] afternoon at his home five miles northwest of Kickapoo. The Rev. Fr. Leo Herken officiated. Interment in the Kickapoo Catholic cemetery.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Kickapoo and a member of the Knights of Columbus of Atchison.

He is survived by two daughters, Miss Mary and Miss Elizabeth Hennessey, both of the home address; two brothers, John of Easton and Martin of San Antonio, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs Margaret Herken and Mrs. Kate McQuillan, both of Easton.

Friends assembled at 8 o'clock Tuesday [Jan 18] evening at the Sumpter Funeral Chapel for the recitation of the rosary. The body remained at the chapel until the time of services.
