Eunice Pennington Floyd, 91, of College Grove died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at her home following an extended illness. Born in Brazil, Miss., to the late Benjamin and Lula Jenkins Pennington, Mrs. Floyd was a retired nurse and homemaker and a longtime member of College Grove Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Floyd, who died in November 1989. Survivors include two sons, Harvey LeRoy Floyd of Nashville and James Talley Floyd Sr. of College Grove; a daughter, Anna Jean Floyd Ritzenthaler of Churchville, NY; and a sister, Lula Mae Hicks of Pearl, Miss. Funeral services will be held Sunday, Aug. 25, at 2 p.m., at College Grove Church of Christ with Ed Slayton and Doy Hollman officiating. Interment will follow at College Grove Cemetery in Williamson County. Visitation with the family will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Aug. 24, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
