Her ashes were scattered somewhere on Mt. Hood in Oregon.
Obituary
Alice Cornett Clifford
Beloved mother and grandmother, Alice was born September 18, 1905 in Fredonia, Kansas and died May 6, 2001 at Cottesmore of Life Care in Gig Harbor. She survived open heart surgery when she was 61 and died at the age of 95. Her greatest love was her children and grandchildren. When she came to visit, her first words were, "I didn't come to do housework, I came to play with the children", and she always seemed to have a new game to teach them. She is survived by three children, Robert L. with wife Pat of Sun City, California; Jay B. Clifford of Hood River, Oregon; and Doretta R. Kelley with husband Dean of Tacoma, Washington. She had 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Until the youngest group was born, she remembered everyone's birthday. We love her and will always miss her.---The News Tribune, Tacoma, Washington Tuesday, 15 May 2001 Page 13
