Mr. Nathaniel Royals, age 81 of Griffin, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. Royals was born in Griffin, Georgia on February 4, 1934. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Henry and Renna Royals and 11 siblings. Nathaniel was an accomplished musician. He had a faithful gospel music ministry for over 40 years, a member of the Buckner House Band for 15 years, and member and musician of Family Worship Center for 15 years.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Shirley Royals; children, Johnny Royals and fiancée, Rhonda Frank, Tim Royals, Robbie Royals and girlfriend, Angie Fogarty, Melanie Royals; grandchildren, Christina, Cody, Jay, Erica, Jennifer, Noel, Kadie, Luke, Alaina, Noah, Mallory, Austin, Racheal, Olivia; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Margie Kelly; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Nathaniel Royals will be on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. A home going celebration will be conducted on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Reverend Billy Anderson and Reverend Jerry Brooks will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens.
