Kirwan, Mary Rebecca, wife of the former State Senator James E. Kirwan, died at her home on Kent Island Thursday evening. She was 71 years old. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Gardner of this county, and last September Senator and Mrs. Kirwan celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Lemuel and Charles E. Kirwan and a daughter, Mrs. Whitefield Coleman of Kent Island. She also leaves five granddaughters.
