Frederick Louis Balch, of Marietta, Oklahoma, passed away on May 11, 2006 at the age of 61. His parents were Marvin Louis and Marian Lorine Matthews Balch. He was married to April Elaine Teddleton in 1966.
Mr. Balch was a veteran of the Vietnam War, and he served in the U.S. Marine Corps from March 7, 1962 to July 7, 1966. He was discharged with the rank of corporal and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Marksmanship Badge Rifle M-14 for his service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and reading.
He is survived by his wife, April of Marietta, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryne and Tanner Schooley of Marietta; four brothers, Fayrond, Danny, Jerry and Terry Balch, all of Marietta; five sisters, Sandra of Caruthers, Una Corelious of Boron, Calif., Stella of Marietta, Lexie Winn of Caruthers, and Debra Bass of Riverdale.
