She was born May 28, 1936, in Aitkin to Ervin and Melissa (Taylor) Hammond. She married James Dotzler April 18, 1953, in Aitkin.
Sheila was a former cook for Myr-Mar Lodge in Garrison, Cedarbrook Manor in Deerwood and the North Country Cafe in Crosby. She was also a former housekeeper for Ruttger's Bay Lake Lodge.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sons, Roger and infant David Anthony; brothers, Roger, Bonnard, Bruce, David and Leland Hammond; and sisters, Marjorie Rainy, Blythe Courier, Mary Mishler, Dorrance Stanley, Arlene Hammond, Vivian Kuehl and Charlotte Pettit.
