Charles Robinson Jones was the son of James Fletcher Jones and Hannah Rose Robinson. He married Cora Belle Anderson (daughter of Confederate Soldier John Henry Anderson and Ann Mary Ridings) on 17 January 1893 in Berryville, Clark, Virginia.

Charles and Cora had the following children:

1. Gilbert Lee Jones
2. Carlton Robinson Jones
3. Nellie Virginia Jones
4. Roger Warren Jones
5. Paul Anderson Jones

Charles' wife Cora died at the young age of 37 years old, leaving Charles with five children to take care of by himself. For a time, Charles' mother Hannah helped him raise the children, and so did Ann Mary (Ridings) Anderson (mother of Cora).

Charles was a manager of the Berryville Milling Company and went off on trips buying grain and selling flour (according to his daughter Nellie). This is possibly how he met Annie, because she took over her step-father's grain business in Maryland.

Charles and Annie married on 12 May 1912 in Mondel, Maryland. The family later moved to Florida in 1923. Charles died in Florida and his body was taken to the Green Hill Cemetery in Berryville, Clarke, Virginia to be buried next to his first wife Cora. Charles and Cora share the same stone.
