A chronicle marker was placed at Cottingham Cemetery beside that of his wife's and near to his two daughters, Willie Viola Casey Peebles and Evaline Casey. He died as the result of a kick from a horse when Anna was pregnant with Evaline. No documentation of where he is buried as been found, but family thought it important to place a chronicle marker to commemorate his existence.
His birth year is determined as 1841 because on the 1850 Census record for Lauderdale County, Rawhide Community, Alabama, he was listed in the household of his parents, Jacob and Sarah Casey as 9 years of age. It has since been discovered that his actual birth date is 1 Feb 1845.
