WESTMERE Judith A. Foley, 66, of Westmere, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at St. Peter's Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Edgar S. Walsh and Jean Weir. Judy was a breast cancer survivor. She was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Foley in 1993. Judy and Ed enjoyed many happy years with their family as fishing enthusiasts. She had a passion for gardening and was an avid reader. She is the beloved mother of Edward (Debbie) Foley, Robert Foley, Suzanne (Scott) DeLong, Joseph (Ellen) Foley, Kathleen (Jim) Meier and Jennifer (Daniel) Macchiarella. She is the sister of Diane (Jim) Busick, Susan (Joseph) Bogdanowicz and Edward (Debra) Walsh. She is the cherished grandmother of Megan and Shane Foley, Taylor DeLong, Lauren, Joseph and Kara Foley, Shannon, Andrea, Jenna and James Meier, Madison and Daniel Macchiarella. She is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Peter's Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 - south of Central Ave.) then to Christ the King Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The parish family of Christ the King Church will gather at 5:30 p.m. for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome.
