Bobby Perryman Roberts, 85, of Baytown, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2015. He was born in Sadler, Texas to Nettie Bell and Mack Roberts on April 24, 1929..
On May 24, 1951, he married the love of his life, Ethel O. Russell. On January 13, 1961, he joined Pipefitters Local Union #211 in Houston, Texas, where he worked many years in the Freeport and Houston areas. He worked and traveled the world in places as far away as Peru, Equator and even Bangladesh.
Until last year, he and his wife of sixty-three years lived in Laneville, Texas, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed raising cattle and was a member of the Rusk County Democratic Club.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his father, Mack Roberts; mother, Nettie Roberts; brothers, Billy, Mack and Dean; sisters, JoAnn Cummings and Marinan White.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Ethel Roberts; son, Bobby Roberts, Jr. and wife, Florence; grandchildren, Tara Roberts and husband Marko Blom, Tiffanie Fantegrossi and husband, William Fantegrossi, Sabrena Ballard, and Trampus Stringer; and great grandchildren, Dino, Robby and Debbie Fantegrossi and Julius Blom, Aaron Ratliff and Cheyenne Baty.
There will be a viewing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home in Baytown. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. at College Station Cemetery in College Station, Texas.
