Seville Hoffman Birkhimer was born in Pike County, Ohio 2-6-1856, died 7-3-1907, age 51 years 4 months 27 days. She was married to Theodore Birkhimer 1-1-1873. To this union were born 13 children. Two, Mary Ann and Katie Pearl, preceded her to the land of rest to await her coming. She was united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Jasper, Ohio, during the ministration of Rev. Kirkpatrick and ever afterward lived a devoted Christian. Never was her faith stronger than during her last days. She continually asked the Lord to help her bear her sufferings, was a faithful attendant of the various means of grace and took an active part in them. May the 28th found her the last time in the regular service. She was present and enjoyed and devoted to the interests of her husband and children and always made the home happy and inviting. In the faith in which she lived she passed away leaving to mourn her loss, a husband and 11 children, 1 sister, besides other relatives and many friends. Our community is better because she lived, heaven is richer because she died.
