∼Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Jenkins Funeral Home in Lyons for Mrs. Mary Frances Vandeventer, resident of the Lyons community. Rev. Paul Burris officiated at the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Inez Corns and flower bearers were members of the Harmony class of the Lyons M.E. Church. Burial was in Prairie Chapel cemetery.
Mrs. Vandeventer, widow of the late Abner Vandeventer, passed away at her home in the Lyons about 6 o'clock Friday evening.
Born on January 16, 1866, she was the daughter of Abner and Louisa Royal Pickard. She was born near Calvertville.
Surviving her are one daughter, Mary Fern Vandeventer, at home, and two half-brothers, Charles Pickard of Calvertville and D.V. Pickard of LeRoy, IL.
Jenkins and Sons, funeral directors, were in charge of the funeral arrangements.
