Thomas J. Palaski, age 80, of Perry Township passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 following a brief illness. He was born March 8, 1934 in Massillon to his parents, the late, Martin and Frances (Mrofka) Palaski. He was a veteran of the US Airforce and retired in 1996 from Union metal where he was a foreman. Thomas was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed visiting with neighbors on his front porch and with friends at Michael D's. He also did wood carving and daily crosswords. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marlene F. (Davis) Palaski; son, Robert Palaski and brothers, Joseph, Charles, Paul, Donald, and James Palaski. Survivors include three children, Bill (Kim) Palaski of Louisville, Lynn (Bill) Lavelle of Canton and Richard (Valerie) Palaski of Colorado Springs, CO; nine grandchildren, Christin, Tiffany, Rachel, Alex, Zach, Jarrod, Kyle, Samantha and Sabrina; and many great grandchildren; brother, Tim (Rita) Palaski; two sisters, Liz (Steve) Hickel and Karen (Joe) Rohr as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 10am at Reed Funeral Home CANTON Chapel. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
