Patricia D. “Pat” Mounsey, 85, of Poneto, IN., Wells County, passed away at 10:40 PM on Sunday, March 08, 2015 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. She was born on Sunday, July 14, 1929, in Wells County, IN. She married Dean Mounsey in 1948 at her parents’ home. Patricia was a 1947 graduate of Lancaster Center High School. She retired after several years of service from JcPenny in Bluffton. Patricia was a member of the Chester Center Night Clubbers Home Economics Extension Club, Lucky Sam's Camping Club and the Liberty Center United Methodist Church. In 2010 she was awarded the Wells County Homemaker of the year award, which she was very proud of. She was a former substitute bus driver for Southern Wells Community Schools and an avid euchre player.
Survivors include her Husband of 66 years - Dean Mounsey, Poneto, IN., Son - Rick (Wife, Kathie) Mounsey, Poneto, IN., Son - Rodney (Wife, Rosemary) Mounsey, Poneto, IN., Daughter - Cheryl (Husband, George) DeWeese, Warren, IN., Daughter - Vicki (Husand, Tim) Andrews, Warren, IN., Son - Randy Mounsey, Keystone, IN., 16 Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and 1 Gr. Gr. Grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her: Parents - James A. & Devona (Graham) Scott, Sister - Elizabeth Smuts, Sister - Edna Duffey, Brother - Bill Scott, Sister - Bonita Scott, Twin Sister - Peg Morgan, 1 Grandchild and 1 Gr. Gr. Grandchild.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service to celebrate Patricia’s life will be at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home 203 N Matilda St. Warren at 10:30 AM on Thursday, March 12, 2015, viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. Pastor Chad Yoder will be officiating and Jody Mounsey assisting. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
