Martin Wheeler Cash, Sr., age 66, of Kingston, passed away at his home Saturday morning, March 7, 2015. Martin was a wonderful husband to Diana, a wonderful dad to Marty & Stephanie and a great & loving grandfather to Jordin, Abbie & Jarrett Puckett.

Martin was a faithful member & Deacon of New Midway Baptist Church in Kingston. He was a Safety Officer for the Kingston Fire Department and a Training Officer for the Kingston Police Department.

He was also Chief Deputy at Morgan County Sheriff’s Department for several years and is best described as a volunteer, giving one hundred percent. Martin joined the Tennessee National Guard and was honorably discharged in 1968. He was a true public servant, patriot and longtime member of the Sons of the Revolution.

Preceded in death by his parents, Alvin & Mary Sexton Cash; brother, Barry Cash; mother-in-law, Irene Griffin.

Griffin of Kingston Aunts & Uncles Shirley & the late Ken Warren of Knoxville Thelma & the late G.L. Sexton of Columbus, GA A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends

The family will receive friends from 4:00 -7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at New Midway Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Sanctuary of New Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Rod Garrett, Robert Puckett and Howard Huffine officiating. Interment will follow in New Midway Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to New Midway Baptist Church Playground Fund, 240 New Midway Road, Kingston, TN 37763. Fraker Funeral Home of Kingston is in charge of all the arrangements.
